About Me
Obsidian Whispers was born from my deepest love of the natural world, and its many wonders.
David Attenborough’s documentaries filled my childhood with curiosities for all living things and that childhood now fuels my art today.
Portraying the beauty and intricacy of these smallest of creatures is my uppermost goal. To be creative and immortalise nature that everyone can enjoy in their home is a great privilege.

My Story
I am an artist based on the Central Coast in NSW Australia.
I started my career in the field of animation and design, however shortly after completing that degree I decided that animation wasn't for me, so, over the last couple of years I have trained and am currently working as a Veterinary Nurse where I have Obsidian Whispers as my creative outlet.

I have always loved creating art and drawing from a young age, and that, married with my keen interest in the natural world, lead to the creation of Obsidian Whispers.

My goal for Obsidian Whispers is to create beautiful oddities and home decor that is affordable without sacrificing quality. It is a fine balance but I believe that I have found it, and I will always continue to improve my craft.
Goals for Obsidian Whispers
2026 - 2027
Workflow and products
I will be aiming to readjust my production schedule. Slowing down and making more meaningful works, when I feel like it, to avoid an overly commercial feel. I am also going to be experimenting and prototyping new products to launch in 2026, that are more functional than decor.
2027 - 2028
Find consistancy
Once I have a solid grasp on my new products, I will aim to produce them more consistently.
2028 - 2029
Build a Community
I would love to develop and expand my outreach on a social media and customer basis. Attending more markets and investing in promoting myself.

The Enemy - Charles Baudelaire in The Flowers of Evil - Translation by Anthony Mortimer

“My youth was nothing but a darkling storm
Shot through at times by brilliant bursts of sun;
And in my garden few red fruits remain
After the thunder’s ravages and the rain.
Now I have reached the time of Autumn thoughts When spade and rake are needed to reclaim
The flooded land where water has dug out
Holes in the earth, gaping as wide as tombs.
Who knows if the new flowers that I dream of
Will ever find in this poor soil, washed clean
Like some bleak strand, their mystic quickening food?

- O sorrow, sorrow! Time consumes our life;
The Enemy who gnaws our hearts unseen
Grows tall and waxes strong on our lost blood.”
